Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 18, 2026
At PDF Merger, your privacy is our primary concern. This Privacy Policy outlines the types of information that is and is not collected and recorded by our website and how we use it.
1. File Processing and Document Privacy
Local Browser Processing
PDF files are processed locally in your browser by the PDF merging tool and are not uploaded to a server for the merging operation. When you select files to be merged, the processing is handled by your local machine using JavaScript. We do not upload, store, transmit, or analyze your PDF documents on our servers. Therefore, we have no access to the contents of the files you process.
2. Third-Party Libraries
To enable the browser-based PDF functionality, our website securely serves the pdf-lib open-source library directly as a static asset. No third-party CDN is used for this library, meaning your IP address is not shared with external library providers during the PDF processing.
3. Log Files and Analytics
Like many standard websites, the hosting provider (e.g., Cloudflare Pages) may automatically log basic connection information such as internet protocol (IP) addresses, browser type, Internet Service Provider (ISP), date and time stamp, referring/exit pages, and possibly the number of clicks. These logs are used to administer the site, track general user movement, and prevent abuse, but are not linked to any information that is personally identifiable.
4. Cookies
This static website does not currently deploy tracking cookies or aggressive analytics tracking codes. If we introduce standard analytics tools in the future to understand traffic patterns, this policy will be updated to reflect that, and appropriate consent mechanisms will be implemented if required by law.
5. Contact Information
If you contact us via email, we will only use your email address and any information you provide to respond to your inquiry. We do not sell or share contact information with third parties.
6. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page.
7. Contact Us
If you have any questions about this Privacy Policy, you can contact us through our Contact page.
